Our Story

Alicia’s career in human services began 14 years ago in a direct service role during college. From the outset, she understood this work as a calling rather than simply a profession. Her experience spans social services, hospitals, schools, and outpatient psychotherapy settings. In these roles, she supported individuals, couples, and families through complex life challenges.

One of the most formative experiences of her career occurred while working at an equine-assisted therapy stable in central Minnesota. While the work involved horses, the most profound learning happened internally. That experience deepened her understanding of nervous system regulation, emotional congruence, and the power of authentic presence. These lessons continue to inform how she approaches clinical work, leadership development, and systems-level change.

Alicia is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), credentialed through the Board of Social Work. She earned both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Social Work from St. Cloud State University, with an academic emphasis on psychology and sociology. Her studies fostered a deep interest in the mind–body connection, neuroscience, and the social systems that shape human behavior.

Over time, Alicia recognized that meaningful change requires more than individual insight. It requires an understanding of organizational structures, culture, and readiness for change. This realization led her to integrate change management principles into her work with systems. She supports leaders and teams in shifting mindsets, beliefs, and behaviors. These shifts are done in ways that are sustainable and respectful of the organizational context.

Today, Alicia’s work reflects an integration of neuroscience, evidence-based practice, relational awareness, and systems thinking. She approaches each engagement with humility, curiosity, and respect. She honors the organizations she partners with and supports growth that is aligned, intentional, and lasting.

Outside of her professional work, Alicia finds grounding and inspiration through reading and running. She also connects with nature and practices meditation. Reflection, journaling, and creative expression are vital for her. Additionally, music and cooking inspire her. These practices are not separate from her work—they are essential to how she remains present, regulated, and connected.

Alicia invites individuals, teams, and organizations to engage in this work with her. This work is thoughtful and evidence-informed. It is also rooted in authenticity, connection, and meaningful transformation.
